I cannot believe that Season One of Disney Channel’s Secrets Of Sulphur Springs is almost over! During last week’s episode, things didn’t turn out quite as expected for the Campbell family but sunk us deeper into the mystery surrounding The Tremont.
Olivia fell asleep part way though our early preview and awoke afterwards ready for adventure. “Guys? Guys! Where are the twins?! We need to find Harper and tell her about the rocking chair!” She was 100% convinced that she had experienced Sulphur Springs in real life! During out virtual meet and greet with the show’s stars Elle Graham (Savannah), Preston Oliver (Griffin) and Kyliegh Curran (Harper), Olivia was so excited to be on a call with the REAL Harper. She has even decided that when she is big that she wants Harper to take her on a time-traveling journey. Of course, they will wear matching outfits, braids and everything! Then they will find Savannah and all have a jam sesh.
Fun fact: Kyliegh & Elle both learned how to play guitar while shooting in Louisiana, although the series has yet showcase these special talents.
But that is perhaps the best thing about the show. The family dynamics are honest. The friendships are real. And the twins are quite possibly the best young duo ever. “So stinking funny,” as Kelly Frye (who plays Sarah, their mother) puts it. We have loved watching this season of Secrets Of Sulphur Springs and are optimistic that the cast and crew will return for another season.
In this week’s climactic finale episode, “Time After Time”, Harper travels back in time to the day her dad died in hopes of trying to change the outcome. Griffin also begins to discover how meddling with the past might affect his own present. Will Harper and Griffin solve the mystery of Sulphur Springs?
Major plot twists this week have us all in a tizzy and the show leaves us wanting more…as always. From grief to excitement, fear to joy and every emotion in between we journey with these beloved characters and explore the human condition with a science fiction backdrop.
**Catch the season finale Friday, March 12 on Disney Channel at 8pm.** Secrets Of Sulphur Springs is also available on Disney+ and DisneyNOW.
As we leave season one of Secrets Of Sulphur Springs behind, we are so thankful to Disney Channel and Kristin Cruz for introducing us to this wonderful show. I absolutely adore this Sulphur Springs themed Caboodle (hello, junior high memories!) and my very own miniature bluetooth radio from the bunker! Just have to figure out how to set the the year for time travel…
Again, I’m not going to spoil this episode, but it does beg the question: If you could go back in time and change the past, should you?
