Welcome to a world of wishes! We had the opportunity to screen Disney’s Wish and immediately fell in love! The film is the culmination of Disney 100, celebrating the studio that started with a dream and the films that have inspired us for the past century.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish is an all-new musical-comedy welcoming audiences to the magical kingdom of Rosas, where Asha, a sharp-witted idealist, makes a wish so powerful that it is answered by a cosmic force—a little ball of boundless energy called Star. Together, Asha and Star confront a most formidable foe—the ruler of Rosas, King Magnifico—to save her community and prove that when the will of one courageous human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things can happen.
Spoilers may follow…

Anyone who loves Disney animated films will find the joy in Wish. It is a beautiful original tale of empowerment as individuals and the strength we find together. The music is evocative of beloved Disney classics with a unique sound. And it is FULL of Easter eggs that reference some of your favorite Disney movies, some more subtle than others.
We loved that Disney brought back the storybook opening of Wish, something we haven’t seen from Disney since 2016’s live-action The Jungle Book. And while it may be argued that the images below contain spoilers, I think it is also important for the casual Disney-goer to be able to recognize some of the references made in Wish and how they connect to the wonderful world of Disney. There are many, many more film references, hidden Mickeys and a sweet post-credits scene not to be missed!
Wish opens only in theaters on Nov. 22, 2023.
