We are a family on the go! Between jobs, auditions, workouts, play dates and family adventures we have very little “sit around and vege” time. Most days, I pack a lunch that both Olivia and I like because more often than not, she ends up wanting whatever it is that I am eating. It’s the snack area that is the wild card. 90% of the time she’s fine eating raw fruits or veggies while we’re running around and she knows that animal crackers are a treat if she has to come to an audition with me. But sometimes even I need to mix it up with a different texture or flavor. Enter Rise Buddy. I first tasted their snacks about a year ago and got my family hooked on them.
Rise Buddy Baker Rice Snack bags are eye catching and fun to look at. These chip-like morsels are bite sized snacks (or a couple bites if you’re a toddler) and come in multiple shapes just to keep it interesting. Olivia likes to name the shape as she pulls them from the bag! It’s time for the potato chip to move over – there’s a healthy alternative now that’s even more tasty! I love that Rise Buddy is baked, made out of whole grain brown rice, is gluten free and contains zero trans fat. Heart disease runs in my family so this is a huge plus! Plus, the flavor selection is amazing. Sea Salt (for traditionalists), Pizza (Olivia’s favorite), Sour Cream & Onion (when you need to mix things up) and BBQ (for a little burst of extra flavor).
I’ve tried them all and while I’m more of a traditionalist, enjoy a chance of pace every now and again. None of the flavors are overwhelming. All are satisfying. Somehow the snacks tend to be whole pieces and not broken into itty bitty splinters, which is a marvel! My lovely little isn’t quite ready for school but when she is, this will definitely be a snack to consider for her lunch box!
