Spring was good to me!
In the midst of an elephantine series of auditions, I was able to book a few jobs and am just now beginning to see the finished projects. As more become available, I will definitely share them with you!
Also, I had the pleasure of doing some choreography for Pacific Union College’s All That Glitters is Not Gold one-act play festival. If you are in need of a Napa Valley excursion you should definitely check it out! The shows run May 23-31….visit www.dramaticartssociety.com for more info.
Sprinkled throughout the last few months, I have also been lucky enough to see some great theatre all over the Bay Area. Just a sampling of some of the shows: Dracul (an original fire ballet), Faux Real, (a biological woman performing drag), Lyrics From Lockdown (song/spoken word fusion telling of a man’s wrongful imprisonment), plus major productions such as Wicked and Love. It has truly been inspiring to see such great art and I feel the urge to get back into live performance. I’ve missed it so much!
While you probably won’t see me onstage anytime soon, I will be back in the theatre teaching dance and choreographing for Solano’s Twelfth Night. I’m so excited to be back and can’t wait to see what style they throw at me this time! In the past, I’ve done belly dance, modern dance, swing, and Randi in addition to musical theatre styles. I have a feeling it’s going to be super cool again this year! More info on this project in a few weeks….but mark your calendars for Friday, June 26th at 2pm. These kids are truly fantastic.
This coming week is another full one of auditions, choreography prep work, plus I’m going to see 3 more great plays! Hope to catch up with you before the summer’s over…
