If you have ever been a parent, you truly know how quickly they grow. If you are an expectant parent, you will not realize the truth of this until you are in the moment. No matter where you are in the parenting journey, rest and safety are two key elements that are often at the forefront of our minds.
Now that Tala is on the move and testing out her solo movement skills, it’s time to move her from her bassinet to a crib that is safe for this next phase of development. Then there’s the next question: what to do with said bassinet? The vast majority of baby items, in my experience, are only used for a short amount of time and we are left with beautiful items that may be passed down to a younger sibling. And when that sibling looks to remain the youngest of the family? It’s time for the baby gear to be passed along to a new family! It’s eco-friendly, budget-friendly, karma-positive and a really swell thing to do.
We were gifted the Ingenuity FoldAway Rocking Bassinet which boasts of many safety features and a very comfortable sleeping pad. I never heard any complaints about it! To begin, my favorite feature of our Fletcher style was the fact that it does easily fold away. We are a family of four living in a studio apartment so space is valuable. Whenever necessary, the bassinet stores easily and is also great if you need a safe place for baby to sleep if you need to travel. It is portable as-is and the legs are removable for added convenience. While we’re on the subject of legs, those are adjustable. Some babies may prefer to be rocked to sleep, others may want to feel more stable and not rock. The choice on rocking vs. stationary is up to you and your family by simply (un)locking the legs.
Other lovely features include breathable mesh sides, neutral designs so it is appropriate for any gender or nursery and a fitted sheet that can be washed easily. If you are expecting your own youngling, add the Ingenuity FoldAway Rocking Bassinet to your registry. It may not solve any sleep problems, but you will rest easy knowing that your baby is safe.
